This policy explains what data My Safe Foods collects, how it is used, and what rights you have over it.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and a hashed password.
• Profile data: the foods, recipes, sensitivities, and notes you add to your profiles.
• Usage data: basic server logs including IP address and browser type, retained for up to 30 days.
• Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID. No card details ever touch our servers.

How we use your data

• To provide the service and keep your account secure.
• To send transactional emails (confirmation, password reset, billing receipts).
• To power community recommendations. Your food profile is used anonymously to find users with similar preferences. We do not share identifiable information.

Third parties

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Open Food Facts for food product data. No personal data is shared.

We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising networks.

Your rights

• You can request an export of your data at any time.
• You can delete your account at any time. All personal data is removed within 30 days.
• You can contact us to correct inaccurate data.
